Project

For this project, I was tasked with creating a set of stamps about an important topic that we did not know a lot about. We did this entire project in illustrator and had to make all of the stamps flow naturally together. I decided to focus on important black figures throughout history, so I picked four figures to illustrate and turn into stamps. 

Below is my draft of the project that I created, and as you can see, I changed it a lot. Originally I went overboard with my design and ended up simplifying it. I had too much detail originally and not everything was clear. 

As I said above, my issue throughout this project was adding too much detail to my stamps and not giving the illustration enough attention. I also originally struggled with consistency throughout the four stamps. It wasn't until after my draft that I was happy with how the stamps connected together.
